Christmas Delivery

[ A plain-wrapped package is delivered by courier to Mizuki on the morning of the 25th. Inside the box is a 8" statuette of a zinc-owl. Dozens of tiny gears, cables and linkages comprise its body, and it's covered with countless tiny but beautifully electro-plated silver "feathers". Touching it on the head will activate it, and the small avianoid will hoot, hop around on a surface, or take a short flight before returning to its starting position.

Included with the gift is the following note: "Another creature for your menagerie. Regards, Knock Out" and underneath which is signed a string of unfamiliar glyphs. ]
